The Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics was held at the National Exhibition and Convention Centre from 12-14 March. It is one of the largest and most comprehensive apparel fabric and accessories exhibitions in the world.

At the exhibition, SF Fiber, a joint venture under Fung Group, debuted their SS20 sustainable viscose collections under four themes: Rest & Relax, Harmony, Step Up and Sandstorm to further expand their concept of “From Inner to Outer”. All products from the collection is made from 100% viscose or blended viscose. “A lot of designers and buyers still have the perception that viscose fabrics can only be used for more dressy apparel. I want to redefine that and show that viscose fabrics can be used much more diversely, from intimates, tops and cardigans to dresses and even suits,” said Johnny Yong, Director of Product – SF Fiber.

SF Fiber showed a short video that illustrates the concept of linking up stakeholders from fiber suppliers to retailers to form a sustainable viscose ecosystem. The concept attracted attention from major retailers such as Inditex, Mango, Diesel and Calvin Klein Performance – to which Johnny shared the brand mission: “SF Fiber aims to promote a sustainable viscose supply chain ecosystem to provide greener, purer and more innovative products for brands and retailers.

Consumers are turning to more eco-friendly fabrics and production processes that can minimize negative impacts on the environment. For SF Fiber, this is just the first step towards helping to build a more sustainable future in retail.
